GML - The Geometric Modelling Library Publisher's Description

The Geometric Modelling Library (GML) is a powerful C++ geometry library, with an intuitive API and extensible GUI. The GML offers a wide range of functionality, from basic geometry such as intersection and distance routines, through to manipulation of complex data structures including NURBS curves and surfaces, point clouds and triangulations.

Exploit the power of the GML to help you write new algorithms by linking to the library and using the structures and functionality exposed. The API is designed to be as intuitive as possible, with functionality arranged on each entity into categories. Use creation, analysis, modification, segmentation, merging and extraction routines to build powerful new software from the existing building blocks.

The GML GUI enables direct interaction with geometry models in a 3D environment, and exposes a range of the more commonly used parts of the library. The GUI is fully extendable through an add-in mechanism allowing you to visualise your data and the graphically debug the routines you have written to give direct feedback on the progress of the algorithms.

To help you get started with the GML, the library also comes with over thirty VS2010 sample projects, demonstrating various concepts and functionality in the library, as well as extensive API documentation and a getting started guide. Sample projects range from simple add-ins and Win32 consoles through to .NET applications that seamlessly embed the GML renderer.

The GML has support for a number of standard graphics exchange formats as well as various proprietary formats, many of which are plain text. All data structures can also be directly populated via the API, allowing custom parsers to be easily developed, meaning the GML can be easily integrated into your existing software environment.

Try the GML today, and see how it can help you with your geometry development.
